It becomes immediately apparent that the Nissan Pathfinder has been through some things on its way to the 2022 model year. Redesigned inside and out, its overall aesthetic is bolder and more rugged than previous iterations. We won’t dive into every little change or enhancement, just check out the images on this page to get an idea of how incredible the new midsize crossover looks.

We will, however, dive into some of the details on the updated powertrain of the all-new Pathfinder. It features a 9-speed transmission that delivers a much smoother and more direct response, plus an Intelligent four-wheel-drive system that features a 7-position Drive & Terrain Mode Selector. Both of these things are standard, but you can opt to increase the vehicle’s capabilities with a towing package, increasing its maximum capacity to 6,000 pounds. It delivers a whopping 284 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and has an EPA estimated fuel efficiency of up to 21 MPG City/27 MPG Highway.

The new 2022 Nissan Pathfinder, which is available at a starting MSRP of $33,410, offers seating for up to eight in a spacious and flexible cabin that includes a new captain’s chairs option as well as new EX FLEX one-touch release technology. Shoppers can also opt for other available features like the 10.8” Head-up Display and 12.3” digital dashboard or ProPILOT Assist with Navi-Link. Regardless, the Pathfinder will come standard with the Nissan Safety Shield 360. In the 2022 model, the Pathfinder will be available in 4 different trim levels: S, SV, SL, and Platinum.
