Powertrain Specs of the 2022 Nissan Rogue®

Nissan offers the 2022 Rogue® in six different trim levels S-FWD, S-AWD, SV-AWD, SV Premium, SL-AWD, and Platinum. The base trim S comes with front-wheel drive and has the 2.5L 4-cylinder engine carried over from last year’s model. With a standard All-wheel Drive, other trims offer the new 1.5-litre DOHC 12-valve 3-cylinder Direct Injection Turbocharged engine. It also includes the Xtronic CVT® (Continuously Variable Transmission) with Manual Mode. This new powertrain delivers a horsepower of 201 hp and 225 lb-ft of torque.


The models with the 3-cylinder engine have evolved VC-Turbo technologies, along with improved performance in acceleration, fuel economy, and emissions. The 2022 Rogue® involves a new high-pressure fuel injection system that helps enhance acceleration. New textured valve lifters reduce friction and improve engine efficiency, while a vacuum low-pressure die-cast cylinder head improves engine cooling. The SUV’s estimated fuel economy is 7.6 Litres per 100km combined with the All-Wheel Drivetrain. You can drive the Rogue® in Eco and Sport Modes, while the higher trims come with Terrain Mode Selector.
